Whitening
A whitening gel is used to lighten the tooth colour, either in the clinic or with custom trays at home, as advised.
Bonding
Tooth-coloured material is shaped onto a tooth to repair chips or close small gaps.
Veneers
Thin, custom-made shells are fixed to the front of teeth to improve their shape and colour. Some tooth surface is usually prepared first.

A combination of treatments planned together, step by step, for a natural-looking result.

Aftercare tips
- After whitening, avoid strongly coloured food and drinks such as tea, coffee and turmeric for the time advised.
- Some sensitivity after whitening is common and usually temporary.
- Do not bite very hard objects with veneers or bonding.
- Keep up brushing, cleaning between teeth and regular check-ups.
When to see a dentist urgently
- A veneer or bonding that breaks and leaves a sharp or sensitive tooth
- Severe sensitivity or gum burning after whitening
- Pain or swelling after any procedure
Common questions
Is teeth whitening safe?
When done under dental guidance, whitening is generally considered safe. Some people have temporary sensitivity.
Will whitening work on crowns or fillings?
No. Whitening works on natural tooth surfaces only. Crowns and fillings keep their colour.
Do veneers look natural?
Veneers are made to match the shape and shade you choose with your dentist, aiming for a natural look.
